The spectra were recorded over 4000–400 cm −1 to evaluate possible interactions between the extract and the niosomal components. The disappearance of the characteristic C–O stretching band of Phyllanthus emblica extract at 1058 cm −1 in the niosomal formulation suggests interaction with the surfactant–cholesterol bilayer and successful encapsulation.
